The Dinosaur Stegosaurus

The Stegosaurus was a herbivore that lived during the late Jurassic period. It was approximately 30 feet long and weighed around 2,000 pounds. It had a small head, a long neck, a tail, and four legs. The stegosaurus was covered in plates and spikes. The plates were made of bone and were arranged in rows along the back. The spikes were made of keratin and were located on its tail. The stegosaurus had a brain that was the size of a walnut.

The stegosaurus lived in North America and Europe. It ate plants. The stegosaurus had two rows of teeth that were suitable for eating plants. The stegosaurus lived for approximately 50 to 60 years. The stegosaurus’s predators were the allosaurus and the ceratosaurus. The stegosaurus protected itself from its predators by using its spikes and plates. The stegosaurus went extinct because of a combination of factors, including climate change and competition from other species.
